STERIS HexaVue Imaging System
The HexaVue system boasts a versatile six-in-one camera design, delivering panoramic and multi-modal views. Its user-friendly interface and advanced features enable seamless integration with other technologies such as Augmented and Virtual Reality software and hardware. Integration with AR and other cutting-edge medical technologies such as Sim Bodies ™ allows users to undertake world-leading surgical training in a variety of medical settings and scenarios, optimising procedural outcomes and documentation.
Sim Body
Within the STERIS HexaVue Integrated Theatre Suite, we have a start-of-the-art ‘Apollo’ simulation model, provided by CAE Healthcare. Apollo is a versatile patient simulator designed for comprehensive prehospital, clinical, and nursing skill development; Apollo offers lifelike simulations to enhance training efficacy.
Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) computer system
Transform your medical imaging workflow with our state-of-the-art Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) computer system. This advanced technology allows storage and accessibility of high-resolution images, offering seamless storage and retrieval during training procedures. The PACS system serves as a central hub for managing diverse medical imaging modalities with efficiency and precision.
HoloLens, Vuzix, and HTC headsets.
The STERIS HexaVue Integrated Theatre Suite facility is home to HoloLens, Vuzix, and HTC headsets. This cutting-edge technology immerses trainees in realistic surgical scenarios, offering hands-on learning opportunities in a safe and controlled environment. The VR capability enhances traditional training methods, allowing for interactive simulations and real-time feedback.
Fully-integrated environment
The OR Integrated Theatre Suite recreates the hospital environment which can be used to:
- Train surgical teams, being able to see how effectively they would perform in the OR environment as well as do live streaming procedures for training.
- Get clinician feedback on the ease of the use of certain medical instruments.
- Work with healthcare professionals in a nonsurgical relaxed environment to assess working practices and methodology, being able to identify potential risks.

- Develop virtual reality surgery, surgical robotics and robotic techniques.
